Scripted, filmed and edited recently published webinars and corresponding shorts
Average of 65 views for shorts within the week of being posted
Gained search-based following by 10%
I researched these topics to help our customers answer three questions: What is going on? Why is it a problem? How can they reframe their understanding or combat the issue on this topic so they can utilize it to their benefit? I designed the slides and drafted a script outline my boss used during filming. Following the filming session, I edited the footage into a virtual webinar resource and broke it down into shorts highlighting powerful little insights from the webinar.
Filmed and directed tutorial videos
Maintaining audience engagement at 40% by end of videos
Following the demand of our customers, my team and I designated a filming session with our boss to show a tutorial on how to put together our hardware products. I directed my boss on what specifically to show during the setup, and I managed the audio recording during filming while my coworker filmed and edited the footage.
Wrote, researched and published two white papers
Generated 30 leads
These are some of my proudest works because of how much effort I put into these. Researching in depth on these topics, I compiled quotes, evidence and data to use in these white papers. I wrote 10 pages on each white paper explaining what the common issue is customers may be seeing, why it's hindering their organizations, what kinds of solutions there are and how our company can help them apply the solutions. These white papers served as a backbone for all our other content for a couple weeks. We produced promotional content, several blogs, short videos and recently a webinar that cooresponds with one of the white papers.
Designed and researched social media posts about AI
Improved clientele knowledge by 60%
I researched how our company's AI systems work and detailed those systems in a simplified social media post I designed.
I utilized ChatGPT to explain what our company does and compare its accuracy in a social media post I designed in Adobe Express.
Filmed, scripted, recorded, edited and attended MHCA Conference for social media news story
Reaching non-follower audiences by 70%
An exercise in my journalistic background, I went with my team to a mental health conference. Observing the scene and interacting with attendees, I was able to write a 30-second script for a promotional news story. I recorded B-roll during the conference to capture the events. I was motivated to consider this conference newsworthy through Pulse For Good's perspective because we brought food incentive to offer a taste of our local culture for people who've traveled far, and to encourage attendees to visit our booth. Most booths at the conference offered free pens or mints while we went big with complimentary ice cream and drinks.
Filmed and featured in The Future of Behavioral Health Feedback white paper promotional short
Led to 8 white paper leads
Increased views 4x's more than previous content
This was another promotional piece of content to generate ethos for our white paper. My team and I decided it would be impactful if our followers saw and heard the author of a helpful resource come across their feed.
Fully produced commercials
Reached audiences 3x's more than previous content
Increased engagement of non-followers by 20%
This was such a fun project for me to lead. I brainstormed commercial ideas that exemplify our company then fully scripted the videos. I casted coworkers willing to take part in our videos and coordinated filming location and schedule. My team and I filmed the videos. My coworker and I split up the footage so we can both edit a balanced amount. Seeing the videos finally posted and being interacted with was the most satisfying feeling.
Designed social media posts for holidays
Reached new audiences by 30%
I photographed outside scenery to incorporate as the background of these posts. I used both Photoshop and Canva to achieve the desired product. Taking inspiration from the holiday season, I brainstormed the content of these holiday posts, keeping on brand and in theme.
My video projects from JCOM
Examined proficient storytelling tactics by utilizing camera angles, audio recording and editing
For my classes in college, I was assigned several projects focusing on a different aspect of journalistic filming. Some are more story-based while others are more technical-based. These video projects were exercises in gaining the technical skill necessary for workplace standards and learn from making mistakes.
Edited and compiled videos of my gymnastics routines
Demonstrated proficient editing skills
This was a personal project I took on to revamp my YouTube page after I had retired from gymnastics and no longer needed it for college recruitment purposes. I compiled all of my routines from my last two years and edited it into one routine choosing the best from each competition. I had so much fun making these videos and I'm very proud of my athletic performances and editing skills.
Edited 2 episodes of Utah State University's The Rising Engineer Podcast
Contributed educational content to the College of Engineering at USU
I was asked to edit some interview podcasts talking all about the cool things happening in the engineering department on campus. My brother hired me on to the task and my responsiblity was to make them sound good. I took that task with dignity, editing those 20-minute podcasts so the content was coherent and didn't have any popping or mouth clicking sounds in them. I enjoyed being a part of those projects and listening to the life engineering students live and what they are learning with hands-on experience.
Scripted, recorded and edited professional sociology podcast
Presented engaging historical information through audio recording and editing
For this assignment, I had to research a sociologist and figure out an engaging way to present my findings. I chose an immersive podcast because then I could use the medium to my advantage and make it into a story rather than research. I turned John Locke's life and theories into a rivoting podcast. To make it engaging, I added elements such as music and sound bites that coorespond to the story the audience is listening to.
Recorded and edited audio news story from JCOM
Portrayed an activity through only audio interviews and sound bites
I took my favorite weekly social activity and turned it into an audio news story for class. Capturing the sounds of country swing dancing, I was able to portray the event and the people there. This project was very fun for me and I liked the way it turned out. As I am not a regular country swing dancer attendee anymore, it still encapsulates the fun I've always experienced from going.
